The research that has been done on the cacao bean and chocolate that is 65 percent or over, contains certain nutrients, which are known for promoting better dental health and is able help fighting cavities. Two of these things are theobromine and there is calcium in cocoa, which helps teeth grow strong.

The way that cacao is able to help fight cavities is that the nutrient contained in it, therobromine is an ant-biotic property and this fights tooth decay by thwarting mouth bacteria. This was proven in several studies that have been conducted and one of these was one that was done by researchers at Osaka University in Japan.

This research data is so important that scientists believe that the consumption of this type of chocolate that is not processed may do more in fighting mouth bacteria that is responsible for cavities than the use of mouthwash or other products.
